Well… I should say “Discovering 10 of the most beautiful beaches”! Drawing up a top 10 list of the world’s most beautiful beaches is almost impossible! There are so many, everywhere, that we could make a top 100! What can I say? A top 1000! They’re the stuff of dreams, these turquoise waters bordered by heavenly white-sand beaches, veritable picture-postcard landscapes.

But never mind! I’m taking you on a little trip around the world to discover some magnificent beaches. Some countries, like Thailand, could be the subject of a top 10 list of the most beautiful beaches on their own, but I’ve decided to present ten of them, scattered around the world.

L’Anse Source d’Argent – Seychelles (Indian Ocean)

This magnificent beach is located on the island of La Digue. Bordered in places by granite rocks eroded over time by wind and sea, the landscape is breathtaking. With its turquoise waters and white sand, this is an ideal spot for swimming and diving (the lagoon is surrounded by a coral reef).

L’Anse Source d’Argent – Seychelles (Océan Indien)

Cape Vidal – South Africa (Indian Ocean)

This little splendor is located in the Greater Santa Lucia National Marine Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The dunes stretch as far as the eye can see! Just the thing for a relaxing session.

Cape Vidal – Afrique du Sud (Océan Indien)

Whitehaven – Australia (Coral Sea)

This must-see beach in the Whitsundays archipelago is considered one ofAustralia‘s most beautiful. Located on the Great Barrier Reef, you’re guaranteed a paradise atmosphere! With whiter-than-white sand and crystal-clear water, you’ll find yourself plunged into the heart of a postcard. An ideal place for diving.

Whitehaven – Australie (Mer de Corail)

Pink Sands – Bahamas (Caribbean Sea – Atlantic Ocean)

As its name suggests, this beach is covered in pink sand! This color comes from particles of pink coral and red plankton that mix with the sand. Imagine this festival of incredible hues… turquoise water and pink sand!
Pink Sands is located on Harbour Island in the Bahamas.

Bahamas

Ari Atoll – Maldives (Indian Ocean)

This atoll is the largest in the Maldives archipelago. It is made up of numerous islands, each more beautiful than the last, and is renowned for its many diving sites. Most of the atoll’s islands have their own hotel, but some are still in their wild state, making the experience even more beautiful.

L’Atoll d’Ari – Maldives (Océan Indien)

Navagio – Greece (Ionian SeaMediterranean Sea)

This beach, topped by high white limestone cliffs, is located on the island of Zakynthos and is a secluded bay accessible only by boat. It’s nicknamed “Shipwreck Bay” because of the wreck of the ship Panagiotis, which seems to lie right in the middle.

A magical setting…

Navagio – Grèce (Mer Ionienne - Mer Méditerranée)

Playa Ruinas – Mexico (Caribbean Sea)

Located in the Tulum Natural Park, Playa Ruinas is a must-see in this small town on the Yucatan Peninsula! Mayan ruins dominate the landscape. In fact, it’s the only city the Mayans built by the sea. Tulum means “fortress”, and it’s easy to see why! The old watchtower is right on the waterfront.

Something for lovers of historic sites.

Playa Ruinas – Mexique

Mandrem – India (Arabian Sea)

Goa abounds in magnificent beaches, popular with Indians. The choice was difficult, but I chose Mandrem beach, one of the most beautiful in the region. It’s also less well known because it’s a little more isolated, giving you more peace and quiet to enjoy a superb sunset… (with your partner?)

Mandrem – Inde (Mer d’Arabie)

Yonaha Maehama – Japan ( East China Sea –Pacific Ocean)

When you think of heavenly beaches, you don’t necessarily think of Japan. And yet… The thousands of islands that make up the country abound with idyllic beaches.

Yonaha Maehama is located on one of the Okinawa archipelago’s islands, Mijako-jima.

This splendid 7-kilometre-long white-sand beach winds its way between transparent turquoise waters. What’s more, it’s not too busy.

Miyakojima, Japon

Kaw Kwang – Thailand (Andaman Sea)

Kaw Kwang - Thaïlande (Mer d’Andaman)

The island of Koh Lanta has many beautiful beaches! Kaw Kwang has the advantage of shallow waters, so you can swim in peace and quiet. A long stretch of fine sand, few stones, a cocktail in hand… What do you think?
