Soaring Flamingo is based on the principle that the only way to protect nature in Tanzania is to share tourism revenues with the local population, by raising awareness of the importance of their heritage. The agency’s name (“The Flamingo Takes Flight”) was inspired by the hidden beauty of Empakaai Crater, where flamingos regularly come to feed.
